Pesticides

The chemistry of pesticides.

Pesticides are substances (chemical, biological, antimicrobial, desinfectant or other) or mixtures of substances used against a pest (insects, pathogens, weeds, microbes, etc.).

Chemically, it is a fairly homogeneous group of chemical substances of different structure, composition and mode of operation. The advantages of these pesticides - of which there are a large number of approved drugs, and some of which have special and very specific effects - often offset by ecological and toxicological hazards. For this reason, the registration, the use and application are governed by legislation and the maximum quantities of pesticide residues limited quantity.
